Charles Tillman’s 4th Annual Meijer Celebrity Gridiron Challenge

 Charles Tillman, cornerback for the Chicago Bears, is partnering with Meijer to host the 4th Annual Celebrity Gridiron Challenge on Saturday, June 19th at Lake Zurich High School, located at 300 Church Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit theCharles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation, whose mission is to provide opportunities and resources to children or their families who are in need. Chicago International Trucks, Coca-Cola, Fifth Third Bank, Miller Lite and the Omni Chicago Hotel, are also proud sponsors of the Gridiron Challenge.
On Saturday, June 19th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Charles Tillman is inviting football fans of all ages to the join the fun of watching on-field scrimmages with teams consisting of pro football players and participants in the Flag Football tournament as well as meet and greet Chicago Bears players, visit the Cornerstone Fan Zone and more.
The Flag Football contests are comprised of 14 teams of eight "Regular Joe's" and their celebrity quarterbacks who go head to head in this annual competition. These teams put everything on the line to compete for bragging rights and a massive Meijer silver trophy. To have your team of eight participate in the Flag Football tournament, each group raises at least $4,000 for the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.
There is a chance to win a spot for you and a guest on one of the Flag Football teams by registering at your local Meijer store. Enter to win a chance to take the field with some of your favorite Bears players at all Chicago area Meijer stores beginning May 17 and continuing through May 29, 2010.
The Cornerstone Fan Zone will have lots of games and activities for children of all ages. Youngsters will have a chance to win great prizes such as an iPod Touch, register to participate in on-field activities and visit Meijer's Healthy Living Advisor Maribel Alchin.
Tickets are free of charge and available for pick up at your local Meijer store beginning May 17th.
